Zasuigetsu Dôjô        Shû Kûge Mangyô

It is read together as: "Sitting in the Water and Moon Dôjô,

practicing the ten thousand practices of Kûge..."

In the world of Rinzai Zen, this phrase is particularly valued,

as it captures the essence of Zen practice (Zazen 坐禅).

General:

The hanging scrolls / Kakemono I offer are all old originals, not prints. This means that depending on the owner, history, and handling, age-related wear or defects may also be possible. I have tried to describe these to the best of my knowledge and belief. The information about the artists' seals/signatures I obtained from the seller or friendly Japanese who kindly assisted me with the translation. However, seals and signatures are not a guarantee of the authenticity of the offered hanging scroll / Kakemono, as they may have been added later. It is not in my interest to deceive anyone!
