Tachihara Kyosho 1785 -1840: Was NANGA painter and a "Mito" soldier. He went to EDO in 1812 and studied under Tani Buncho. He lived in exchange with Watanabe Kazan and Tsubaki Chinzan. One of his descendants is Tachihara Michizo poet and architect in the Taisho period. General: The scroll paintings / kakemono I offer are all old originals, not prints. As a result, depending on the owner, history and handling, age-related wear or defects are also possible.
I tried to describe it to the best of my knowledge and belief. I got the information about the artist's stamp / signature from the seller or friends of Japan, who kindly helped me with the translation. However, the stamp and signature are no guarantee of the authenticity of the scroll / kakemono offered, these may also have been added later. It is not in my interest to defraud anyone!
